Define where and why data moves
List the data handled by the site and identify the controller, processors and subprocessors. Review hosting regions, support access and transfer terms against the applicable law, sector and customer contract. Do not assume every project requires exclusively Qatar-based storage.
Recommended baseline
Use HTTPS, supported software, least-privilege administration and MFA. Keep secrets out of browser code and repositories. Agree patching, WAF/rate-limit coverage, dependency checks, security logs and alerts. Separate development from production and restrict database access.
Recovery you can demonstrate
Define recovery targets, encrypted backups, key custody and backup expiry. Test a restore into an isolated environment and verify records and application behaviour. A backup success notification alone does not demonstrate recoverability.
